Ms. Etana Fields- McCurdy Joins Room 3

Hello, my name is Etana Fields-McCurdy. I am a senior at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. My major is Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. I will be interning in your child’s classroom for my last semester of my program. I am excited for the opportunity to support and maintain a nurturing learning environment while assisting in your child’s physical, cognitive, language, social and emotional development.

I have always been interested in elementary education, even in my career in Banking and Management. I would always volunteer with the “Grow Up, Great!” program a partnership with our financial institution and Sesame Street. I found so much fulfillment in educating young children on the importance of saving money to invest in their future.

I am an active volunteer with the PTA in Livonia, MI. I am currently the auction chairperson, coordinating school fundraisers for my childrens school. I am also a part of the student staff at the ECEC (Early Childhood Education Center-Dearborn) where I have many diverse opportunities to learn and grow in my field.

When I am not in the classroom I am with my family. My husband and I have two children, a puppy and kitten. We are active in sports and life! We love to travel every year to someplace new and exciting. Where to next...?

Sincerely,

Etana N. Fields-McCurdy
