Month of October Shadows Over the past few weeks, we have been exploring shadows using the overhead projector. We provoked the children's thinking with the overhead projector, and a variety of animals. The children worked on placing the animals on top of the overhead projector and observing as the figure appeared on the wall or screen. The children noticed when they moved the animal on the overhead projector they animal also moved on the wall. We wanted to see how the children would react to the plastic people being projected on the wall.The children's strategies were quite different. Many of the children worked on pairing the people together in groups or by height. Once they placed the people on the projector many of the children walked up to the wall and compared themselves to the projected image. Ramps The children have shown an interest in the ramps.
